What we collect
Nothing about you. Lumen has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no crash-reporting service, and no server-side telemetry. No personal information, contact details, location, device identifiers, or usage events leave your device.
What stays on your device
Your favorites list and your theme preference (system / light / dark) are stored locally on your device using the system secure storage. Wallpaper image files are cached locally so they load instantly and work offline. You can clear this cache at any time from Settings. Uninstalling the app removes all of this data.
Permissions we request
Set wallpaper (Android): when you tap "Set as wallpaper", the app applies the image you chose to your home screen, lock screen, or both. This permission only lets the app change your wallpaper — it grants no access to your files, photos, or any other data.
Photos (write-only): when you tap "Save" on a wallpaper, the app asks for permission to add the image to your photo library. We never read, browse, or upload your existing photos. The system only grants the app the ability to add new items. No camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, location, health data, motion data, or Bluetooth access.
Third-party content
Wallpaper images are hosted on Pexels's content network (images.pexels.com). When your device loads or downloads an image, the request is sent directly from your device to Pexels over HTTPS. Pexels's privacy practices apply to that request — see https://www.pexels.com/privacy-policy/. When you tap "Share", iOS or Android presents the system share sheet; whatever app you choose handles the image under its own privacy terms. We do not embed any other third-party SDKs.
Children
Lumen is rated 4+ / Everyone and contains no age-restricted content. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
