1. Who this policy covers
AuraByte Studios ("we", "us") provides SCP 096: Hotel Escape. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the Android game or contact its support team. It takes precedence over the studio's general privacy policy for this game.
2. Local gameplay information
Chapter progress, completed objectives, and game settings are saved locally on your device. We do not operate a game-account service or a developer-hosted cloud-save service for this game. Android backup and device-transfer features may retain or restore app data according to your device settings.
The game's spoken dialogue is prerecorded audio. Listening to dialogue does not require microphone access or upload your voice. The game does not ask you to provide contacts, photographs, health information, payment details, or precise GPS location.
3. Advertising and data shared with Google
The game uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to serve banner and interstitial advertisements. Google and its advertising service providers may collect and share the following information to provide ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud:

The data processed depends on your device, region, privacy choices, and the ad service's configuration. Non-personalized advertising may still process information for contextual ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention.

4. Your advertising choices
Where a consent message is required, you can review the advertising choices shown by Google before ads are requested. To revisit available choices, open the game's main menu and select Ad privacy choices. This control appears when Google's consent service indicates that privacy options are required for your region. You can change or withdraw consent through those options where offered.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android's advertising privacy settings where supported. You can also manage eligible advertising preferences through Google My Ad Center. Device menus vary by Android version. These controls do not necessarily stop all advertising or all diagnostic processing.
5. Support messages
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information and attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your request and investigate problems. Please do not send passwords, payment information, or unnecessary personal information. Our email service processes messages to deliver and store correspondence.
6. Retention, security, and international processing
Local saves remain until you reset the game, clear the app's storage, or remove them through your device. Backup copies may remain until you delete them separately. We keep support correspondence only as long as needed to resolve the request, maintain necessary support records, or meet applicable legal obligations.
Google controls retention of data it processes under its privacy policy. We do not promise to delete provider-held advertising records ourselves. Providers may process information outside your country. Google's Mobile Ads SDK uses encryption in transit; no storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
This is a horror game with frightening scenes and sudden scares. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children to submit personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove information under our control.
8. Delete your data and exercise your rights
Game progress and settings
On Android, open Settings → Apps → SCP 096: Hotel Escape → Storage → Clear storage (or Clear data). This resets local progress and preferences. Uninstalling also removes the installed app's local data. If Android backup is enabled, manage any backup copies separately in your Google or device backup settings to prevent old data from being restored.
Support correspondence
Send a request to support@aurabytestudios.online with the subject “SCP 096 data request.” Tell us whether you want access, correction, or deletion and use the email address associated with your earlier messages. We may request information reasonably needed to verify the request. We will respond within applicable legal time limits and explain any records that must be retained and why.
Advertising data
Use Android advertising-ID controls and Google's privacy and deletion tools to manage information Google holds. You may also contact us for help identifying the relevant provider. Clearing game progress does not automatically delete advertising records.
There is no game account to close. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, and complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Policy changes and contact
We will update this page and its effective date when the game's data practices change. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
